那时黄金大概是1700。
要买黄金来投资很不方便,要卖黄金来套利也很难。
所以,我就把这个计划搁置了。
回想起来,当初也幸亏没有去投资黄金。
否则今天所买的黄金肯定住在总统大套房。
下图,6月初,黄金的价格曾经回扬,不过现在看来几乎不是转折,而是一个短暂的反弹而已。
当初我会觉得买黄金很不方便,是因为那时总觉得它只有两种投资方法:
1. 银行存折;
2. 买实物,把黄金拿回家收藏。
买黄金存折,我又怕银行跑路。
买实物收在家里,又怕被打劫。
其实,当时我还是菜鸟,比较单纯。
就凭上面这两点,就让我躲过黄金大回调这一劫。
要投资黄金,其实还可以考虑买入从事黄金的公司的股票,又或者是ETF。
什么是ETF?
GLD:
SPDR Gold Trust (the Trust) is an investment trust. Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (the Fund) seeks to replicate as closely as possible, the price and yield performance of the NYSE Arca Gold Miners Index (GDM). The Index provides exposure to publicly traded companies worldwide involved primarily in the mining for gold, representing a diversified blend of small, mid and large-capitalization stocks. GDM is a market capitalization-weighted index, and provides exposure to publicly-traded companies worldwide involved primarily in gold mining, representing a diversified blend of small-, mid- and large capitalization stocks. The Fund’s advisor is Van Eck Associates Corporation.
Barrick Gold Corporation (Barrick) is engaged in the production and sale of gold, as well as related activities. Barrick also hold interests in oil and gas properties located in Canada. Its producing gold mines are concentrated in three regional business units (RBU): North America, South America, and Australia Pacific. It operates in seven business units: four regional gold businesses, a global copper business, an oil and gas business, and a capital projects business. It holds a 73.9% equity interest in African Barrick Gold plc (ABG), that owns gold mines and exploration properties in Africa. Its Copper business unit contains producing copper mines located in Chile and Zambia and a mine under construction located in Saudi Arabia. On April 26, 2012, Highland Gold Mining Limited (Highland Gold) completed Barrick's sale of ordinary shares in Highland Gold (the Shares), representing Barrick's entire holding in Highland Gold and 20.37% of Highland Gold's issued share capital.
ANV:
Allied Nevada Gold Corp. (Allied Nevada) is a United States-based gold producer focused on mining, development, and exploration properties in the state of Nevada. Allied Nevada owns Hycroft Mine. In addition to the Hycroft Mine, the Company owns 100% of the Hasbrouck, Three Hills, Mountain View, Wildcat projects, and the Pony Creek/Elliot Dome project. It also has a joint venture on the Maverick Springs Project, and the exploration rights to approximately 100 Other Exploration Properties. The Hycroft Mine resides on an aggregate land position of approximately 96 square miles. As of December 31, 2011, the Hycroft Mine hosts a Proven and Probable mineral reserve of 12.7 million ounces of gold and 481.9 million ounces of silver. KGC:
Kinross Gold Corporation (Kinross) is engaged in gold mining and related activities, including exploration and acquisition of gold-bearing properties, the extraction and processing of gold-containing ore, and reclamation of gold mining properties. Kinross also produces and sells silver. Kinross’ gold production and exploration activities are carried out principally in Canada, the United States, the Russian Federation, Brazil, Ecuador, Chile, Ghana and Mauritania. The Company’s gold is produced in the form of dore, which is shipped to refineries for final processing. Kinross also produces and sells silver. The Company’s segments include Fort Knox, Round Mountain, Kettle River-Buckhorn, Kupol, Paracatu, Crixas, La Coipa, Maricunga, Tasiast and Chirano. As of December 31, 2011, Kinross’ total estimated proven and probable mineral were 62.6 million ounces of gold.
