新 IPO - GAS MALAYSIA

Gas Malaysia (GAS) was established to sell, market and distribute natural gas as well as construct and operate the Natural Gas Distribution License (NGDS) within Peninsular Malaysia. GAS has a network of natural gas pipelines connecting customers to the Peninsular Gas Utilisation transmission (PGU). 

In December 2008, GAS expanded their business to include reticulated LPG to the industrial, commercial and residential sectors within Peninsular Malaysia. The expansion enabled them to sell to locations not served by the NGDS. As at LPD, GAS has a total of approximately 1,800km pipelines in operations across Peninsular Malaysia serving 698 industrial customers, 482 commercial customers and 10,926 residential customers for natural gas. In relation to the supply of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), as at LPD, GAS serves one industrial customer, 1,112 commercial customers and 22,038 residential customers.

GAS is[color=Blue] the only company[/color] licensed under the Gas Supply Act, 1993 (GSA) by the Energy Commission, with the approval of the Minister, to supply and sell reticulated natural gas in Peninsular Malaysia. 

The license to supply and sell reticulated natural gas was granted on 1st September 1998 and will expire on 1st September 2028. In addition, GAS has also been granted the license to supply and sell reticulated LPG on 15th December 2000 and the said license will expire on 15th December 2020.

As at 31st December 2010, GAS has total assets of RM1,616.0m and shareholders’ equity of RM1,167.6m. As at 31st December 2011, GAS has total assets of RM1,474.4m and shareholders’ equity of RM1,009.5m. 

For the FYE 31st December 2010, GAS generated PAT of RM298.3m on revenue of RM1,807.5m. 

For the FYE 31st December 2011, GAS generated RM229.2m on revenue of RM2,000.2m.
